TN Live, the TV Nova Group’s online news and lifestyle channel, is set to reach a wider audience. T-Mobile is adding it to its Magenta TV service.
Originally an exclusively online news and lifestyle channel, TN Live is expanding its distribution on pay-TV. It has now been added to T-Mobile’s Magenta TV service, where it can be found on channel 28. Until now, this channel was only available on the Oneplay TV service among pay-TV platforms.
Magenta TV customers can watch TN Live using standard internet TV features, including timeshift (moving along the timeline) and access to the weekly TV archive. In addition to pay-TV operators, live broadcasts remain available free of charge online on the parent news portal TN.cz, where the entire TV Nova project originally began.
After five years on the market, the thematic channel TN Live has evolved into a 24/7 channel providing non-stop coverage, focusing on interviews about current affairs and in-depth analysis of social issues. The programming mix is based on a combination of breaking news, field reports, live coverage of important events and lifestyle magazines, which complement the evening Televizní noviny news programme.
TV Nova has recently been focusing on further developing this project by strengthening its in-house production and technical facilities, from which it broadcasts 24 hours a day. It is precisely this intensified production and distribution of content that is one of TN Live’s current priorities, as producer Martin Synek told MediaGuru.cz in May. Inclusion in Magenta TV represents an opportunity for the group to reach a wider audience of television viewers and increase the reach of its news content beyond traditional web platforms and social media.
