This autumn, the prima+ streaming platform will expand its offering to include the BBC Player service. Under a new partnership between BBC Studios and the Prima Group, subscribers will gain access to a video library featuring British series, documentaries, entertainment programmes and children’s content.
BBC Player will be available to users of both the Light and Premium packages. The service’s offering is set to gradually expand to over a thousand hours of content produced by BBC Studios. All content will be localised for a Czech audience through dubbing, voice-over or subtitles. Children’s programmes will be available with Czech dubbing.
The catalogue will include well-known series such as Sherlock, Luther, Happy Valley, Death in Paradise, Blue Lights and Boiling Point. The catalogue will also feature comedy series such as The Office and Blackadder, documentaries and nature programmes including Earth, Solar System and Attenborough and the Jurassic Sea Monster, as well as entertainment programmes such as Top Gear and The Great British Bake Off.
For younger viewers, programmes such as Hey Duggee!, Go Jetters, JoJo & Gran Gran, Supertato and Yakka Dee will be available. The BBC Player will also include selected programmes previously available on the BBC Earth and BBC First TV channels.
BBC Player will be available on prima+ in its own dedicated section, but its content will also appear in genre categories, recommended collections and search results across the platform.

According to Jan Wykrytowicz, Chief Streaming Officer at the Prima Group, the platform’s aim is to continually expand its range of premium content. “BBC Player offers some of the world’s most acclaimed television programmes, and we are delighted to be able to make this catalogue available to Czech viewers as well. This partnership represents a further step in strengthening prima+ as a platform for high-quality Czech and international entertainment,” he said.
