Oneplay Sport and Nova Sport: Champions League, NHL and domestic competitions

The autumn sports schedule on Nova Sport and Oneplay Sport will feature European club football, North American leagues, motorsport championships and domestic competitions. The main programming highlight will be the UEFA European club competitions, including the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.

Nova Sport will also broadcast matches from Germany’s Bundesliga, Spain’s LaLiga and France’s Ligue 1. The platform will also cover the start of the new NHL, NBA and NFL seasons, the closing stages of the Formula 1 season, the climax of the MotoGP season, as well as UFC and KSW events. As usual, the end of the year will feature the World Darts Championship.

The Oneplay Sport channels will continue to focus primarily on domestic football and ice hockey. The offering will continue to include every match of the Chance Liga, complemented by studio coverage, analysis, statistics, reports and AI-generated highlights. The talk show Tiki-Taka will also continue. The domestic Mol Cup will also receive extensive coverage, with Oneplay Sport offering more than twenty live broadcasts from the opening rounds through to the final.

The new Tipsport extraliga season will begin in September. Viewers will have access to every game in the competition, with the option of watching multiple live feeds simultaneously via a multi-view feature when matches are played at the same time. The broadcasts will also include enhanced statistics, analytical coverage and footage from the referee-mounted Oneplay Helmet Cam.

“With domestic competitions, we want to offer viewers significantly more than just the live broadcast itself. Whether it is football or ice hockey, studio coverage, analysis, data and features that allow every fan to tailor the viewing experience to their preferences are all an important part of the offering,” said Marek Kindernay, Head of Oneplay Sport.

One of the new additions for the autumn is also the new studio of Oneplay Sport at the Stages Hotel in Prague. The venue, featuring a 40-square-metre LED screen, can accommodate up to 80 spectators and is already being used for programmes related to the Czech football league, including Tiki-Taka. From the start of the ice hockey season, it will also become the main studio facility for extraliga coverage.

Nova Group CEO Daniel Grunt described sport as one of the key pillars of Oneplay. “This autumn clearly demonstrates the breadth of content we are now able to offer fans. From Europe’s biggest football competitions, Formula 1 and the NHL to comprehensive coverage of the Czech football league and ice hockey extraliga,” he said.
