The autumn television schedules will expand in October with a further selection of new programmes and series. The changes will primarily affect weekend programming, although Česká televize will also refresh its Tuesday and Thursday evening schedules, which are devoted to international crime series.
The centrepiece of ČT1's schedule for the rest of the autumn will be the Saturday live broadcasts of the dance competition StarDance. They will begin on 10 October and run until 12 December.
Sunday evenings on Česká televize's main channel will also take on a new look in the tenth month of the year. From 27 September, the miniseries Docent will be replaced by the premiere of the German-Czech miniseries Hvězdná hodina vrahů, based on the novel by Pavel Kohout. From 11 October, Sunday evenings will then feature the two-part film Vyhnání Gerty Schnirch, based on the novel by Kateřina Tučková, while from 25 October ČT1 will air the six-part crime series Hec, starring Petra Hřebíčková and Stanislav Majer.
A new addition to Tuesday prime time will be the international series Komisař Dupin, about a Parisian investigator who is transferred as a punishment to the seaside town of Concarneau in Brittany. From 15 October, Thursday evenings will be occupied by the British detective series Patience, whose central character is Patience Evans, an autistic police records archivist. From the following week, the series will be followed by Toulky Českem budoucnosti.
On 8 October, ČT1 has scheduled Superdebata for prime time from 20:00.
New Případy mimořádné Marty and Jáma lvová
The main TV Nova channel will continue with its regular schedule in October. Mondays will remain reserved for Kriminálka Anděl, Tuesdays and Thursdays for Boží plán, and Wednesdays for SuperStar. A new season of the reality show Jáma lvová will begin on Thursday 1 October at 21:40.
Friday evenings will feature Czech films and comedies, while Saturdays will be filled by the Rychle a zběsile film series, putting it head-to-head with StarDance. On Sundays, following the series Studna, the premiere third season of Případy mimořádné Marty will begin on 18 October. It will be followed that same evening by the documentary Případ Stodolovi.
Farma Vojty Kotka and Lovci lebek
The main TV Prima channel will use similar evening slots in October to those used in September. Malý pitaval z velkého města will remain on Mondays, Polabí on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Kriminálka Slapy 2: Pod hladinou on Wednesdays, and Máme rádi Česko on Fridays.
At the end of October, however, the programme will be replaced by the premiere of a new season of the reality show Farma Vojty Kotka, which will take over the Friday prime-time slot. Prima will continue to air Zákony vlka on Saturday evenings, before replacing it with Lovci lebek after the middle of October. Sundays will belong to Zrádci.
