The Prima television group will enter the field of pay video on demand (SVOD). From 8th February it will launch the Prima+ service, which will also bring original production Prima+ Originals.

Prima Television Group unveiled its service in the field of pay video on demand (SVOD) called Prima+ at a press conference on Tuesday. Defining itself as a czech streaming service for the whole family, it plans to bring exclusive content under the Prima+ Originals banner. It also wants to build on flexible subscriptions. It will deliver previews up to 7 days before their release on TV, co-produced films, live broadcasts from the Prima Group and more than 2,000 Czech and foreign titles.

The service will be free to watch with advertising, but only a limited number of titles will be on offer. If a user pays CZK 99 per month and is willing to watch programmes with half the amount of advertising, he or she will have access to a selection of more than 2,000 Czech and foreign titles, Prima+ Originals productions, as well as previews and archives. They will be available to watch in HD quality. For a monthly price of CZK 149 per month, the complete offer including Prima+ Originals, previews and archive will be available in full HD quality without commercials.

Currently, 13 series are already produced or in production and 28 projects are in the pre-production phase. Among the first original series that will appear on Prima+ from 8 February will be the series Seven Steps to Power by publicist Josef Klíma, the comedy series Bodyguards, the detective series Midnight Confession. From March it will be possible to watch the eight-part detective series Laws of the Wolf. A month later, the eight-part comedy series Agrometal will also be presented, and in May, the eight-part detective series Under the Surface.

Prima plans to launch two episodes of a new series every week and add new episodes every month. It also promises Czech co-production films, both new and old, previews of new episodes of its series and archive of shows.
