CME IS PREPARING ITS OWN FAST TV CHANNEL, FOR EXAMPLE WITH ROMANTIC SHOWS

Voyo subscribers spend two hours a day watching content, and the service has over 700,000 users in all markets. PPF Financial Group said in its annual report.

"If you look at the TV business a decade ago, its technological expertise was close to zero. Today, TV is a digital business, and this is reflected in our recruitment strategy. Television as we used to know it is no more - it has fundamentally changed. It's not just digital. It's moving into data science and artificial intelligence. Today, we have an entire team of data scientists working for us to analyse viewer and user preferences and behaviour so that we can give them exactly the content they want," CME CEO Didier Stoessel said in the annual report.

"In addition to entertainment content, we are working to significantly boost sports programming, as this is another key to success in linear TV. And of course we are focusing on the development and quality of our news coverage, which is credible, professional and pluralistic in all the markets where we operate. This is the new CME," Stoessel further noted.

According to Stoessel, CME is also continuing to develop its linear TV business. "We are accelerating our activities in the development of our recorded viewing capabilities as well as our new AVoD platform, which is advertiser-funded and offers video on demand. We are also working on the development of a new form of 'fast TV' - we are building specialised channels, such as a channel with romantic shows that are broadcast live on the internet," the CME chief announced.
