From 4 August, Vodafone TV customers will be able to watch the new sports channel Prima Sport. The channel will be available in HD on channel 60 across all of the operator’s TV packages. According to Vodafone, the addition of the new channel will not affect the price of the service.
Right from its launch, Prima Sport will broadcast the football match between AC Sparta Prague and Olympique Lyon in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round. The broadcast will begin at 19:30 with the programme *Studio Fotbal*, whilst the match itself, taking place at the Groupama Stadium in France, will kick off at 20:00. The broadcast will also be available via the prima+ promo channel on EPG channel 0.
“Sport has long been among the most-watched content on Vodafone TV. We are therefore delighted to be able to offer our customers the new Prima Sport channel from its very first day of broadcasting,” said Michal Podlucký, Director of Fixed Services and the TV segment at Vodafone.
The operator has also prepared a special offer to mark the start of the new football season. Until 15 September, customers can get the Vodafone TV Lite & Sport package for 59 crowns for the first month. From the second month onwards, the service will cost 299 crowns a month.
Prima Sport will also be available from other TV operators. The channel expands the Prima Group’s sports offering, with the group planning to officially launch it on 17 August.
