The Prima Media Group is expanding its senior management team. The newly created position of Executive Advisor to the Board will be filled by Jan Vlček, who has experience in management roles at TV Nova, the CME Group and in the investment sector. He will focus on business strategy, developing partnerships and identifying new growth opportunities.
The Prima Group has created a new position of Executive Advisor to the Board, to be filled by media executive Jan Vlček. In his new role, he will support the company’s board of directors in the areas of strategic development, business activities and the group’s long-term growth.
Vlček is expected to play a key role in developing business strategy, building long-term partnerships and identifying new commercial and strategic opportunities. His remit will also include the formulation of commercial policy, the development of business models across television, digital and radio operations, and the support of creative sales. He will also focus on commercial opportunities related to sports content.
“Jan Vlček is one of the most respected managers in the Czech media market. Thanks to his international experience, in-depth knowledge of the commercial environment and strategic management, he will be a significant asset to the further development of the Prima Group,” said Lukáš Kubát, Chief Executive of the Prima Group.
Jan Vlček previously served as co-CEO of TV Nova and subsequently held the position of Group Revenue Officer at the CME Group, where he was responsible for commercial strategy across six European markets. In recent years, he has worked as an Investment Director for the media sector, representing the main shareholder of Across Finance and overseeing the marketing companies of the IPG Group in eight countries across South-Eastern Europe.
“My ambition is to contribute my experience to the group’s further development, strengthening its market position and seeking out new commercial and strategic opportunities,” said Jan Vlček.
The creation of this new role comes at a time when Prima is focusing not only on television broadcasting but also on the development of digital services, radio activities and other sources of revenue.
