ONEPLAY TO BE SPIN-OFF INTO CME SERVICES

CME is spinning off Oneplay into a new company, CME Services, with the aim of centralising streaming.

The CME media group is preparing an organisational change within its digital operations, whereby the Oneplay streaming platform will be spun off from TV Nova into a new structure within the group.

The spun-off division is to be transferred to CME Services, which will newly oversee the operation and development of streaming platforms for the entire CME group. The aim is to centralise technological management, development and infrastructure administration.

The effective date of the split is 1 January 2026, with the legal effects of the transaction due to take effect on 1 July 2026 following entry in the Commercial Register. The project involves the transfer of part of the assets, contractual relationships, employees and selected assets, including trademarks and domains associated with Oneplay.

According to the document, the reorganisation is intended to enable more efficient development and operation of streaming services, greater platform stability and the unification of technological architecture across markets. From the users’ perspective, the change is expected to bring more consistent service performance and faster roll-out of new features.

CME Media Enterprises B.V. remains the sole owner of both companies, so there is no change in the ownership structure. The split therefore represents a purely internal reorganisation within the CME Group focused on digitalisation and streaming activities.
