The Prima Group is simplifying its ownership structure, with Prima Media Club Group disappearing from it. It has a minority stake in FTV Prima and a larger stake in Media Club.
The Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting ( RRTV) has approved the change in the ownership structure of FTV Prima, which is related to the merger of Prima Media Club Group and Prima Media Holding, whereby the former will cease to exist and its assets will be transferred to the successor company. The transfer also includes a one per cent stake in FTV Prima. "This is a simplification of the structure as a result of the merger," said Blanka Bumbálková, head of PR at Prima Solootions, in response to a question from MediaGuru.cz.
Prima Media Club Group has a 1% stake in FTV Prima, which holds broadcasting licences for Prima Group programmes. The change means that after the merger, Prima Media Club Group will cease to exist and its stake in FTV Prima will be transferred to Prima Media Holding. The change will also affect the commercial distributor, Media Club, in which Prima Media Club Group has a 54.62% stake. Prima Media Holding will become the direct owner of this stake.
The dissolution of Prima Media Club Group will thus remove one link between the group's owner , Ivan Zach, and the companies belonging to the holding company.
