On 7 September, TV Nova will begin its pre-election coverage of the local and Senate elections, which will take place on 9 and 10 October. On TN Live, it will feature thirteen regional debates, five pre-election ‘Superdebates’ and, during the election weekend, a special studio providing live results and analysis.

Nova TV will launch special pre-election coverage on 7 September, focusing on the local and Senate elections, which will take place on 9 and 10 October. As part of its news coverage and TN Live broadcasts, it will offer a series of regional debates, pre-election Superdebates, reports from the regions, analysis and a special election studio whilst the results are being counted.

A key part of the election coverage will be thirteen regional debates entitled ‘Napřímo – Do you want to be mayor?’. The debates will be moderated by Marek Bruna and Zuzana Drábková. Each programme will feature a pair of candidates vying for the post of mayor of a regional capital, who will present their priorities and visions for the city’s development.

The regional debates will be followed, from 28 September, by a series of five pre-election ‘Superdebates’ moderated by Bára Divišová. These will see the leaders of the candidate lists from České Budějovice, Plzeň, Ostrava, Brno and Prague go head-to-head.

Election weekend will be accompanied by special TN Live coverage , presented by Bára Divišová and Klára Košacká. The programme will offer live results, analysis, reactions from campaign teams and commentary from guests from the political and expert spheres.
