CZECH PRIMA JOINS ONLINE AD EXCHANGE

The Czech Republic’s Prima media group has joined the online ad exchange CPEx through its subsidiaries Media Club and Impression Media.

CPEx is an association of Czech online media publishers and includes Mafra, Czech News Center, Economia, Vltava Labe Media. It has been making advertising space available to advertisers using RTB technology since 2013. It has approximately 200 member and partner websites in its portfolio, which are visited by 85% of domestic internet users.

According to Lukas Smol, executive director of CPEx, “CPEx unites four of the ten most important Czech publishers, thanks to Prima we will now strengthen with another important player”.

Vladimir Porizek, commercial director of the Prima media group, added: “We are aiming to be a leader in online advertising, which is why we have expanded our group with Impression Media, introduced cross-platform measurement that connects TV content with online advertising, and are bringing other innovations in the field of programmatic advertising, such as connected TV”.

After the mentioned acquisition of Impression Media this year, Prima reports 6.3 million users (NetMonitor, June 2023), which makes it the second most visited operator in the Czech Republic, after the leader Seznam (7.6 million) and ahead of the third Mafra (6 million).
