Within three years, every second Czech company should be using AI. Globally, this figure exceeds 80% in creative industries.

In August 2024, the Czech Republic approached a major turning point in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The adoption of the European AI Act should pave the way for the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence across sectors. According to data from the Chamber of Commerce, AI is currently used by around a quarter of companies, but this figure is expected to rise to half within three years. In practice, however, many companies still lack sufficient capacity and know-how. According to figures from the Czech technology company Everbot, which focuses on developing AI applications that provide its users with dozens of selected AI tools in one place, this figure is as high as 80% globally in creative industries, for example.

The Czech Chamber of Commerce conducted a regular survey to assess the state of AI implementation in Czech companies. The results show that 28% of Czech companies currently use AI in their business, but this figure is expected to rise by up to half within three years. However, despite the inclusion of AI in their strategies, the actual implementation often lags behind. Artificial intelligence has great potential to facilitate not only administrative processes, with over 35% also seeing benefits in cost reduction.

The main problems in implementing AI are not only financial resources, but also insufficient qualifications and training of employees. This limitation is often compounded by insufficient know-how, which was cited as an obstacle by almost half of respondents. In connection with the adoption of the AI Act, concerns are often raised about additional administrative and regulatory burdens that could ultimately slow down the technological development of AI systems.

AI already dominates marketing and creative industries

Artificial intelligence has become an integral part of everyday practice in most marketing and creative companies around the world. It helps automate routine tasks, freeing up time and capacity for activities that require original thinking and expertise. According to a global survey of marketing professionals (January 2025), AI is most commonly used for content creation, email marketing optimisation, social media management and advertising targeting. However, its benefits go much further. Generative AI also significantly increases efficiency in creative fields through models such as DALL-E and Midjourney. Up to 83% of creative professionals and 75% of marketers have already incorporated AI into their work processes.

Artificial intelligence and its use are also already part of the public debate in the Czech Republic, as confirmed by the fact that the National Strategy allocates CZK 19 billion to AI implementation in the Czech Republic. Its use is no longer limited to multinational technology giants such as Google and Microsoft. Currently, it is used by 22% of small and 28.3% of medium-sized companies in the Czech Republic. However, in order for its potential to be truly realised across the market, it is essential to ensure that these technologies are available to entrepreneurs of all sizes.

"The democratisation of artificial intelligence is essential to ensure that its benefits are not the preserve of global players such as Google and Amazon, which are implementing AI at tremendous speed. They are investing a total of $320 billion in the development of artificial intelligence this year. AI should become a driving force for innovation across the entire Czech market,‘ says Roman Berglowiec, AI expert and CEO of Everbot. ’The Czech Republic must catch up with technological advances in AI so that we don't end up on the sidelines," he adds.

In 2025, the artificial intelligence market in marketing was estimated at $47.3 billion. According to estimates, its value should grow to more than $107.5 billion by 2028. As in marketing, the global use of AI in companies is expected to continue to grow dynamically. In the coming years, a significant increase in the number of organisations implementing artificial intelligence in their processes is expected, whether in automation, customer support, data analysis or e-shop operations. AI is thus gradually becoming a standard tool of modern corporate infrastructure across industries.
