NOVA WILL DEPLOY THE SHOW LEGO MASTERS TO PRIME-TIME FROM JUNE

9. 5. 2022
The TV format, which was directly co-created by the Lego brand, will be aired by Nova in primetime on Sundays in June.

Starting Sunday, June 5, Nova TV will begin broadcasting a new competition show directly linked to the Lego brand. It is called Lego Masters and will occupy the airtime from 20:20 on Sunday primetime. A week earlier, on 29 May, the show will be available on Voyo.

The format will also be broadcast on the Slovak sister station Markíza, in addition to Nova. Its essence is the search for the most talented amateur Lego builder in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The winner will receive a financial reward of CZK 500,000. The show is hosted by Slovak comedian Evelyn and Czech actor Matouš Ruml. On domestic screens, this is the first reality show-type competition format to be broadcast in prime time and associated with a specific brand name.

The pairs that perform the tasks in the competition are assembled in different ways - based on family or friendship ties or casting. The challenges are put together in such a way that each round tests the pairs' interplay and their technical and creative skills.

In total, contestants compete in eight challenges divided into four broadcast episodes. Nova will fill all Sundays in June with this format.

Lego Masters is a global format created by Tuesday's Child Television and the Lego Group. It first appeared on screens in 2017 in the UK. Since then, it has been broadcast in 16 countries around the world across continents including the US, Australia, Asia and Europe. The Czech and Slovak adaptation is the seventeenth in a row.
