NOVA AND MARKÍZA OPEN CME CONTENT ACADEMY PROGRAMME

17. 5. 2022
TV Nova and TV Markíza are opening a two-year study programme to prepare candidates to work with the CME TV group.

TV Nova and Markíza are launching a two-year CME Content Academy scholarship programme together with the Television Institute to prepare them for working for TV and ensure long-term collaboration on TV Nova and Markíza programmes after completing the course.

CME Content Academy is a two-year intensive course divided into eight blocks. During them, students will learn how to write scripts, edit, produce or manage a shoot. It also includes TV marketing, data analytics or sustainable filming (green filming). The course starts this October and takes place in Brno under the auspices of the Television Institute.

„Anyone can apply to study at the CME Content Academy, we do not require a specific education or years of experience in the field. If you have creative ideas, think you could make a scene from your favourite TV series even better, or have a desire to direct a TV mini-series, then we are here for you. We believe that we will discover many hidden talents,“ says Klára Brachtlová, CEO of TV Nova and member of the Academy's expert committee.

Among the lecturers are award-winning experts from the world of film and television from the Czech Republic and abroad, e.g. Vratislav Šlajer, producer of a number of successful TV formats and winner of the Emmy or Czech Lion Award, Piodor Gustafsson, head of development at Sweden's largest commercial television channel TV4, Ben Gibson, former dean of the London Film School, Vinca Wiedeman from the Danish National Film School, and Radovan Síbrt, director and producer behind MasterChef Czech Republic and Malé lásky (Small Loves).

„Our students can look forward to a completely new pedagogical approach with an emphasis on acquiring practical skills in contemporary television production and storytelling, using the latest technologies,“ adds Kamila Zlatušková, Director of the Television Institute.

The application form is available on the studujtelevizi.cz website until 6 June, and the ten best candidates will be selected for the programme. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will automatically move on to paid positions as creative developers of new projects at TV Nova.
