The CME media group, which operates television stations and streaming services in Central and Eastern Europe, including TV Nova in the Czech Republic, reported year-on-year growth in its financial results for 2025.

The CME media group, which is part of PPF and includes TV Nova, increased its revenue by 12% last year to € 1.08 billion. Operating profit rose to €244 million (7%) and net profit reached €165 million (25%). The growth was driven primarily by higher television advertising revenue, increasing use of streaming services and the development of digital platforms, led by the new Oneplay service. CME’s total assets stood at €2.49 billion at the end of the year, and equity reached €1.36 billion. This is according to the PPF Group’s published financial results for last year, which are now supplemented by the release of PPF’s 2025 annual report.

The Group stated that growth was driven by its “anytime, anywhere” strategy, which combines linear television broadcasting with digital content distribution. The ongoing development of the Voyo streaming platform, rising consumption of online video and the performance of television advertising in individual markets all played a significant role.

A significant step last year was the launch of the Oneplay service on the Czech market. The new platform was created by merging the Voyo streaming service and the O2 TV service. The project is a joint initiative of TV Nova and the operator O2 Czech Republic, both of which belong to the PPF Group.

According to CME, Oneplay recorded almost three billion video views during its first year of operation, and users spent a total of 1.6 billion hours watching content on the platform. A fifth of respondents in surveys cited Oneplay as the first streaming service that spontaneously comes to mind, and almost half recognise the brand without prompting.

Alongside the development of streaming, CME also continued to invest in local content creation. Voyo’s original productions won a number of awards across the region during the year. In the Czech Republic, for example, the series Metoda Markovič: Hojer was a success, winning three Czech Lion awards.

The group also expanded the reach of the Voyo service beyond markets where it operates its own television stations. In collaboration with the telecoms operator Yettel, it launched the platform in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

News coverage also remains part of CME’s strategy. The group continues to operate a joint editorial office in Brussels, which provides coverage of topics related to the European Union, NATO and European politics for all stations in its portfolio. In the area of sports rights, CME continued to expand its range of premium content. In 2025, for example, it acquired the broadcasting rights to Formula 1 for the Croatian and Slovenian markets.

CME operates in Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. It operates 47 television channels and reaches approximately 49 million viewers. In 2025, it had more than a hundred new projects in development, intended for both linear broadcasting and streaming platforms.
