CHRISTMAS TV PROGRAM ON AIR, SEASONAL SHOWS ARE CATCHING UP

18. 12. 2023
During the last week before Christmas, all TV stations are starting to switch over to Christmas programming. Some of the seasonal shows are still being finalised.

In the week of December 18, shows for this year's Christmas holiday season are starting to appear on the TV screens of the country's top stations. Traditionally, they will feature fairy tales, Czech and foreign films and comedies.

Czech Television is already introducing fairy tales, followed by Czech films, instead of seasonal programmes from Monday 18 December.

Television Prima is keeping its flagship series ZOO until the Christmas holidays, which will also be broadcast this week (Tue, Thu). In the new year, it plans to return on Tuesday, January 2. In addition to this, it will also include its other regular programmes this week - The Jan Kraus Show (Wed) or Máme rádi Česko (Fri). On Tuesday, it will offer a Christmas special of 7 pádů Honzy Dědka show, which is dedicated to Hana Zagorová.

TV Nova will mix some of its regular programmes with fairy tales or films this week. Monday evening will be taken care of by Specialists (both episodes rerun) and Wednesday evening by the final of this year's MasterChef Czech Republic competition. From Thursday, Nova will offer fairy tales in prime time.

This Christmas, Seznam TV will repeat its scheme from previous Christmases. It is mainly based on Czech fairy tales, films and foreign comedies.
