The Prima Group has filled the position of Head of the Legal Departmentwith effect from 1 July. Štěpán Krbis joining the company’s management team.
The Prima Group has appointed Štěpán Krbas Head of the Legal Departmentwitheffect from 1 July. Within the company’s management team, he will be responsible for providing legal support across the group and its activities.
In his new role, he will focus primarily on providing legal support for commercial projects, the acquisition of broadcasting and distribution rights, cooperation with media partners, and the development of digital services, including the Prima streaming platform. He is also set to play a part in the legal aspects of the group’s other commercial and technological projects.
The current Director of Media Legal Affairs, Pavel Kubina, will continue to oversee the area of media legislation, which falls under Prima Solutions.
Krb joins Prima with nearly fifteen years’ legal experience. He spent just under eight years at the law firm White & Case, where he specialised in litigation, investment arbitration, regulatory matters, insolvency and advisory services for technology companies.
He subsequently moved to the PPF Telecom Group, where, in a regional role, he coordinated legal support for operations across several markets in Central and South-Eastern Europe. Following the spin-off of the PPF Group’s telecoms assets, he continued at CETIN, where, as Head of General Legal, he provided legal support in the areas of digital regulation, mergers and acquisitions, financing and corporate governance. He also played a part in the company’s transformation and integration projects.
“My aim will be to support all my colleagues in tackling the challenges presented by the Prima Group’s ongoing development,” said Štěpán Krb on taking up his new role.
