A total of 414,000 viewers aged four and over watched the Czech national football team’s first match on ČT sport and Nova Action. The combined audience reach for the broadcast across both channels was 843,000 viewers.
The Czech national football team’s first World Cup match against South Korea was watched on ČT sport by an average of 323 , 000 viewers aged four and over (rating). The share of the television audience reached 59.66%. The broadcast reached 610,000 viewers (reach). This is shown by official ATO data. The match was played on the night of Friday 12 June, kicking off at 4:00 am Central European Time.
On Czech Television’s online platforms, the Czech Republic v South Korea match was streamed more than 200,000 times. Over 80% of streams took place on mobile devices, according to Google Analytics data.
On the Nova Action television channel, which also broadcast the Czech footballers’ match, the audience in the over-4s demographic stood at 91,000 viewers (rating) with a 17% share. A total of 233,000 viewers watched for at least three minutes (reach).
The opening match of the tournament between Mexico and South Africa was watched by 402,000 viewers on ČT sport, with a 15.53% audience share. Its reach stood at 951,000 viewers. It was broadcast from 21:00. On Nova Action, it was watched by 104,000 viewers aged 4 and over, with a 4% audience share. The reach was 354,000 viewers.
