The Prima Group sees streaming and digital content distribution as a key pillar for its future growth. It is therefore establishing a streaming division.
The Prima Group is creating a new , independent streaming division to oversee the further development of the prima+ platform and the group’s digital products. Jan Wykrytowicz, currently Director of VOD and Non-Advertising Revenue at the Prima Group, will take the helm as Chief Streaming Officer from 1 June.
The new streaming division aims to accelerate the Prima Group’s growth in the streaming sector as a strategic priority for the next stage of the company’s development alongside television broadcasting, Prima explained.
“Streaming and digital content distribution are key pillars of the Prima Group’s future growth. The creation of a separate streaming division is a logical step within our strategy, and I am convinced that Jan Wykrytowicz is the ideal choice to lead it,” said Lukáš Kubát, CEO of the Prima Group.
Jan Wykrytowicz is a media executive with over fifteen years’ experience. He specialises in building and developing streaming and OTT platforms and also has experience in the pay-TV sector. He has held senior positions at Canal+ and TVN in Poland and at the TV3 Group in the Baltic states.
As CEO of the Go3 platform, he led the pan-Baltic OTT service and developed it into a leading subscription streaming platform in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
