The main new release on prima+ in April is the new true-crime series Minuty zločinu, which follows on from the Hlasy zločinu project. Minute by minute, it presents reconstructed cases from Czech criminal history. The film Nepela will also premiere.
The prima+ streaming platform will offer several premieres, documentaries and popular series and film series in April. One of the highlights of the month is the premiere of a biographical film about the legendary figure skater Nepela. The film charts the period following Ondrej Nepela’s Olympic triumph in 1972 and highlights not only his sporting achievements but also his personal dilemmas and the pressure exerted by the regime of the time. The platform is thus focusing on powerful local stories with historical significance. prima+ will premiere the film on 29 April.
True crime content also forms a significant part of April’s line-up. The new documentary series Minuty zločinu, produced by CNN Prima News, presents detailed reconstructions of well-known criminal cases, including the tragedy in Uherský Brod and the so-called ‘theft of the century’. The crime theme will also be complemented by international titles such as The Killing Twins, The Bradford Cannibal and a mini-series about serial killers on California’s motorways.
International documentaries will also include Beckhamovi: Rodinná válka, which offers a glimpse into the private life of former football star David Beckham’s family and reveals the downside of life under the media spotlight.
In the area of series, the platform is expanding its library with further seasons of well-known titles. The second series of the crime drama Ray Donovan will be added, as well as the continuation of the cult series Californication starring David Duchovny. New additions also include the romantic Turkish series Ať se stane cokoli and the British thriller Coldwater.
The film offering will be bolstered by the complete Rocky series starring Sylvester Stallone, complemented by more recent films from the world of boxing. There are also newer titles such as the thriller Herní pole, the romantic film June a John, and the Central European crime drama Lesní vrah.
