The Prima television group will broadcast a new docu-reality series called Nemocnice 24/7. The premiere is scheduled for 16 February in the early evening on Prima, and the programme will also be available on the prima+ streaming platform.
The daily series presents the work of medical staff in the emergency room and focuses on decision-making in situations where every minute counts. Each episode begins with the admission of a patient, who may arrive on their own or be brought in by the emergency services.
The creators follow several cases in parallel, similar to real-life emergency room operations. They emphasise the diagnostic process, the choice of tests and team coordination. According to Prima, the format offers an authentic view of work in a high-stress environment.
Prima Group's production director Lucia Kršáková said that the station is building on its experience with previous medical series. "After the success of our medical series Modrý kód, Sestřičky and Mise, I am glad that we can offer viewers a new insight into the healthcare environment. Although this is a different genre, I believe it will offer attractive content," she said.
The programme's executive producer, Matěj Stehlík, emphasised that the series works with real cases from the emergency room. "It shows the demanding work of doctors and their teams, who become part of patients' lives for a brief moment. It captures the resolution of situations ranging from minor injuries to conditions where every second counts," he said.
