TV Nova news for spring 2026
- After Případy mimořádné Marty or Vraždy v kraji, Nova will launch another eight-part comedy-light crime drama in the spring. It will be the series Buldok z Poděbrad, which will appear on TV Nova screens in March. It combines police cases set against the backdrop and atmosphere of a Czech spa town with a look at the authentic life of a single mother with two teenage sons. The main role in the story, directed by Jakub Šmíd, will be played by Sabina Remundová. Other roles will be played by Max Dolanský, Filip Týc, Vilém Udatný and Marek Adamczyk. The co-writer and creative producer is Tomáš Baldýnský.
- The detective series Odznak Vysočina returns with the fourth series. Adam Vacula will play a new character who will appear in the team of investigators. The team will be completed by Monika Hilmerová, Simona Hába Zmrzlá, Patrik Děrgel and Michal Suchánek. This time, the directorial team of Andy Fehu and Jan Haluza will take over the direction. "The cases are once again inspired by real criminal cases, I believe that the audience will be tense again," believes Vratislav Šlajer from Bionaut, the company that is filming the series for TV Nova.
- The family series Bratři a sestry with the subtitle Možná jich máte víc než si myslíte continues on TV Nova's screens in the spring season. The characters of Denis Šafařík and Petr Vančura will newly join the story. At the same time, the plot of the series will come to a close in the new season, and it will thus say goodbye at the end of the spring season.
- The television premiere will feature both seasons of the family comedy show Sex O'Clock. The first season of Sex O'Clock charts the story of teenage Adam, played by Maximilian Kock. The second takes place shortly after the conclusion of the first, during the Christmas holidays. The cast also includes Jan Révai, Karolin Omastová, Petra Bučková, Sára Korbelová, Tom Sean Pšenička, Kryštof Švehlík, and Jana Švandová.
- Inspired by true events, the six-part miniseries Jitřní záře follows a family that decides to live outside the normal social norms. It tells the dramatic story of the clash between personal values and general rules, and opens up questions of personal freedom, parental rights and the possibility of living an alternative way of life. The series explores where the line between "normal" and "alternative" lies. "The series is about the right of a family to go their own way, and the right of an individual to choose their own destiny. The two rights come into conflict. Morning Glow, the title character, is taken away from her alternative family by the authorities. Her parents fight to get her back, defend their right to their own lifestyle, but then Glow leaves the family. She seeks her own path - ironically, the mainstream against which the children rebel in adolescence is in this case the specific way of life of their family," described Dan Wlodarczyk, writer and director. The cast includes Jan Plouhar, Petra Bučková, Veronika Žilková, Pavel Nový, Pavel Zedníček and Yvona Stolařová.
With the second series, the reality doc Extrémní proměny returns. It will bring twelve episodes and change the lives of thirteen people. In the reality show genre, viewers will also see new series of reality shows Farma Česko and Survivor. For the first time, it will offer three sixty-minute episodes a week on Oneplay and TV Nova, for a total of 48 episodes. Na lovu, Superlov and Na lovu: Hvězdný speciál will return as well. - The leader of the late-night slot, Ulice, continues with more episodes from the beginning of January, with the first post-Christmas episode coming on 1 January 2026.
In January, Oneplay will launch its most anticipated project of the season, the series Metoda Markovič: Straka. It will also offer the series Monyová or the comedy Pád domu Kollerů. In the documentary genre, it will bring two new releases: the Bohyně Slavie and the documentary Láska nebolí.
