The Christmas Eve broadcast of TV Nova will follow the usual pattern, offering, among other things, the fairy tale Tři bratři or the comedy Láska nebeská. On New Year's Eve, it will present specials of Na lovu and Možné je všechno.
Nova Television is basing this year's Christmas broadcast on a combination of Czech fairy tales, family films and special editions of its programmes. The Christmas part will offer a line-up of Czech classics, while on New Year's Eve the station will air the entertainment specials Na lovu and Možné je všechno, and after midnight it will broadcast a concert by Michal David from the O2 arena. Christmas Eve on Nova will be marked by traditional Czech fairy tales and family films. Viewers will see, among others, the fairy tales Prince Bajajaja, Z pekla štěstí, Řachanda, Shrek, the special Doba ledová: A Mamutí Vánoce, the classic films Císařův pekař and Pekařův císař, and in the evening the traditional fairy tale Tři bratři and the film comedy Láska nebeská.
On the first Christmas Day, Nova will present the fairy tales Jak se Franta naučil bát, V peřině, Z pekla štěstí 2, the fantasy story Nekonečný příběh, the second part of Shrek and the evening film fairy tales Čertova nevěsta, O statečném kováři and Nejkrásnější hádanka. The second Christmas holiday will offer the classics O medvědu Ondřejovi, the Norwegian version of Tři přání pro Popelku from 2021 and the fairy tales Nebojsa, S čerty nejsou žerty and Zelená míle. In the following days Nova will also present the fairytale Mrazík or the comedy Vesničko má středisková.
The Christmas broadcast also includes a special Christmas episode of Na lovu, focusing on fairy tales and Christmas traditions. This time, personalities associated with Czech fairy tales will be pitted against hunters. It will be broadcast on Sunday 7 December in the evening.
New Year's Eve will be in the spirit of the 1990s. The retro special On the Hunt will feature Aleš Háma, Pavel Horváth, Tonya Graves and Václav Kopta, while the hunters will appear in costumes of icons of this era. The special will run from 20:35.
At 22:00, Nova will present the New Year's Eve edition of Možné je všechno, presented by Aleš Háma as a New Year's celebration. The special will be hosted by Slovak actor Tomáš Maštalír and will also include a competitive duel between the teams of Ondřej Sokol and Jakub Štáfek, colourful "rehearsals" of actresses Eva Burešová and Vica Kerekes, as well as Nova announces a striptease by Patricia Solaříková.
At midnight, Nova will bring a TV montage of two sold-out birthday concerts of Michal David from the O2 arena, where he celebrated his 65th birthday this year.
During the holidays, the thematic station Nova Cinema will show family titles such as Jak vycvičit draka, the comedy S tebou mě baví svět, Sněženky a machři and the animated film Velká vánoční jízda. Nova Lady will include romantic Christmas stories such as Věřím na Santu, Vánoční zázrak: Náhodné setkání or Splněná přání.
