A battle of television premieres is brewing for the autumn. Nova and Prima will apparently pit their new series Bratři a sestry and Polabí directly against each other.

The autumn programming schedules of the largest commercial television stations will not be officially announced until the summer holidays, but according to available information, it appears that a direct battle for viewers is brewing with new series Bratři a Sestry and Polabí.

Last week, TV Nova confirmed that the long-awaited family series Bratři a sestry, written by Radek Bajgar and Mirka Zlatníková, will be included in its autumn schedule. Although the exact broadcast time of the ‘small-town family drama’ has not been announced, given that the series Jedna rodina is coming to an end at the end of June, it is expected to fill its slot. These are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 8:20 p.m.

Prima is also preparing a major new series, also from experienced creators. The new series Polabí is being produced for it by is being created by Dramedy Productions, which is also responsible for the series Kukačky, První republika and Zlatá labuť. It aims to appeal to viewers with its atmosphere and family stories. The series is set in the area along the Elbe River and offers a glimpse into the lives of the local residents.

Prima has not yet officially announced when and at what time Polabí will be broadcast. However, according to information from MediaGuru.cz, the new series should start in the autumn and take the same slots as Bratři a sestry (Brothers and Sisters), i.e. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The current series Kamarádi, which Prima usually broadcasts at this time and which said goodbye before the summer holidays on Thursday 19 June said goodbye before the summer holidays, will not disappear from Prima's autumn schedule. As the television station has already confirmed several times, Kamarádi will return after the summer break. However, it is very likely that the television station will find a different broadcast time for it.
