The Money, Money, Money conference will address issues of security and the economy. President Pavel and journalist Christiane Amanpour will be in attendance.
The second edition of the Money, Money, Money conference, organised by CNN Prima News, will focus this year on issues of security, competitiveness and economic growth. The event will take place on 27 April in Strašnice, Prague, and will feature discussions with prominent figures from politics, business and the media.
The main guests will be President Petr Pavel, journalist Christiane Amanpour from CNN International, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová.
The conference will be moderated by Terezie Tománková and Petr Suchoň.
One of the main topics will be the cost of security and the direction of defence policy in the Euro-Atlantic area. President Petr Pavel will comment on this in an interview, which will be complemented by Christiane Amanpour’s global perspective. As part of the programme, she will also focus on the role of journalists in conflict zones and the responsibility of the media in today’s world.
The economic section of the conference will focus on the Czech Republic’s competitiveness and support for domestic companies. Deputy Prime Minister Alena Schillerová will outline the government’s view on economic development in an interview, whilst a panel discussion with other guests will examine the broader context of economic policy.
Attention will also be focused on technological developments and the rise of artificial intelligence. Representatives from business and the military who are involved in the practical application of AI will discuss its benefits and risks. Another session will address issues that directly affect Czech households, such as food prices, housing affordability and energy self-sufficiency.
The one-day event can be watched live on the website cnniprima.cz, on CNN Prima News, and on the channel’s social media. A limited number of tickets is also available to the public.
