Oneplay Originals expands abroad. Nova has sold its series Metoda Markovič, Král Šumavy and Extraktoři.
The TV Nova group is expanding the international distribution of its Oneplay Originals titles. The series Metoda Markovič: Hojer, both seasons of Král Šumavy, and the spy thriller Extraktoři will be heading to several European and non-European markets.
The first season of Metoda Markovič: Hojer will be broadcast in Poland, Latvia, and the Balkans (Macedonia, Albania, Serbia). Král Šumavy will reach viewers in Poland, Hungary, Macedonia, Albania and Serbia. Extractoři will travel the furthest. In addition to Georgia and Uzbekistan , it will also be shown in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
"It confirms that Metoda Markovič: Hojer and Extraktoři are brilliantly told stories that are understandable to a global audience. Their domestic reception and festival awards were no coincidence," said Jan Rudovský, head of acquisitions at TV Nova and TV Markíza. According to him, Nova is also pleased that Král Šumavy will offer foreign viewers a historical excursion into the Iron Curtain era.
Metoda Markovič: Hojer won three Czech Lion awards (including Best Miniseries) and was also successful at the Serial Killer festival. Král Šumavy scored at the Finále Plzeň festival, and Extraktoři took home an award from the NEM Awards in Zagreb.
International distribution is provided by ZDF Studios (Král Šumavy, Metoda Markovič) and Keshet International (Extraktoři).
