Renata Týmová joins the Nova Group to head up viewer data and insights.
The Nova Group is expanding its work with data and audience analysis. Renata Týmová, a media manager with nearly 30 years of experience in media research, is joining the newly created position of Director of Customer Insights. In her new role, she will report directly to CEO Daniel Grunt.
Renata Týmová will focus primarily on the content measurement strategy for the new Oneplay service and linear television channels, audience trend analysis, and support for television and video advertising sales. "My task will be to develop a content measurement strategy for the Oneplay service and Nova Group's linear channels, while also supporting television and video advertising sales. Part of my role will also be to evaluate viewer trends and seek a long-term strategic path for the further development of Nova TV products," said Renata Týmová upon joining the company.
Renata Týmová is returning to Nova. She began her professional career at TV Nova, where she worked as an analyst for twelve years and later headed up research and analytics. She then gained international experience at CME as Group Research Manager and at GEAR, which is part of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). After leaving Nova, she moved to Czech Television, where she headed the research department for many years and, from 2004, served as Executive Director of Research and Programme Analysis.
Týmová is also a long-standing member of the ATO and SPIR methodological committees, which are involved in shaping the development of television audience and online traffic measurement in the Czech Republic.
According to Nova's management, the personnel change is part of the long-term transformation of the entire group. "The arrival of Renata Týmová, together with the related organisational changes, represents the next stage of our company-wide transformation. Its goal is to enable us to respond more flexibly to the dynamically evolving media market and to consistently implement our strategy for further development," said Daniel Grunt. He also emphasised that strengthening data management should lead to a deeper understanding of viewer behaviour and increase the relevance of content across platforms.
