The premiere series of the crime series Odznak Vysočina will be broadcast on Nova every Monday evening, when it will compete with the very popular crime series Místo zločinu Zlín on Czech Television. The third episode of the detective series starring Radek Holub and Jitka Schneiderová was the most-watched programme on Monday evening on 19 January, with over 1.2 million viewers aged 15 and over. Currently, only the programme Peče celá země on ČT1 has more than a million viewers; its third episode was watched by 1.14 million viewers on Saturday, 17 January.
The new series of Odznak Vysočina returns to familiar places, but for the first time, its protagonists and viewers will experience Vysočina in winter. The team of detectives, played by Monika Hilmerová, Simona Hába Zmrzlá, Patrik Děrgel and Michal Suchánek, is joined by Captain Jindřich Válek, played by Adam Vacula. He causes quite a stir, not only because of his unorthodox investigative methods and disregard for official procedures.

The spy thriller Extraktoři, created for the streaming platform Voyo (now Oneplay – ed.) in 2023, reveals the behind-the-scenes world of secret operations and high politics. It tells the stories of a special secret intelligence unit tasked with helping Czechs abroad who find themselves in distress. The series draws inspiration from real events; the six-part miniseries is about the case of two Czech girls who disappeared in Pakistan.
The main roles are played by Pavla Gajdošíková as the unyielding head of operations and Jakub Štáfek and Jan Révai as extractors in the field. Other notable roles are played by Sofia Anna Švehlíková, Gabriela Heclová, Michaela Petřeková, Jiří Štrébl, Roman Zach, Lukáš Duy Anh Tran and others. The second series of Extraktoři will be broadcast by Oneplay later this year.
Nova is scheduling Extraktoři for Sunday evenings, with the first episode airing on 25 January. On Czech Television, it will compete with the Slovak series Neuer, whose second episode, aired on 18 January, was watched by 795,000 viewers, closely following the last episode of the seventh season of the popular series Kriminálka Anděl (watched by 831,000 viewers on the same day).
Kriminálka Anděl, season 7On Tuesday, Polabí returned to Prima, against which Nova will pit the series Bratři a sestry in February. Contrary to the creators' original intention, it will air about twenty new episodes and does not plan to continue.
Exotic destinations are popular
At a date yet to be specified, Prima and prima will begin airing the popular travel reality show Asia Express. Its protagonists will be several pairs who will travel around Southeast Asia with minimal money and no phones. During the trip, they will have to complete a series of challenging tasks and, among other things, stay together on their way to their destination.
Prima TV, and especially its prima platform, celebrated repeated success in the autumn with the reality show Zrádci, which brings the streaming service many more new subscribers than other programmes. It is therefore logical that after the end of the second series, the television station announced that it would also shoot a third series.
The reality show Survivor Česko & Slovensko will return to Oneplay and Nova with its fifth season. The programme will once again be hosted by Ondřej Novotný and filmed in the Dominican Republic. The new series will start on 23 February and will be broadcast every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each episode will premiere on Oneplay, with viewers able to watch it on linear television with a one-day delay.
