TV FALL IS STARTING. THE NEWS FEED IS JUST GETTING STARTED

Another fall television programming season begins. Most of the news will be presented on commercial stations in the week of August 25.

The last week of the holiday season has been chosen by the two leading commercial TV stations Nova and Prima as the starting point for most of their autumn premiere programmes. From Monday, 25 August , they will start presenting new programmes in the form of premiere episodes of well-known shows as well as completely new titles. From September, they will be joined by new Czech Television programmes. Some new programmes will also be added later in the autumn. For example, Prima TV has announced that it will introduce some new programmes for the second half of the autumn season, and the same can be expected for its direct competitors.

The main programme highlights



  • On Monday evening we can expect a clash of premiere episodes of detective series, namely the second season of Octopus (CT1, from 8.9.) and the seventh season of Kriminálka Anděl (Nova, from 25.8.).

  • On Tuesday and Thursday prime time, the new series Polabí ( Prima, from 26.8.) and Bratři a sestry (Nova, from 26.8.) will compete for viewers.

  • The new series Kamarádi (Prima, from 27.8.) with its new episodes will move to the Wednesday prime-time. It will face the second season of the reality show Hell's Kitchen  Českoa (Nova, from 27.8.) and the new series Zločin na dobré cestě (CT1, from 10.9.).

  • Friday's primetime will feature the eight-part Slovak relationship series Příliš mnoho lásky (CT1, from 5.9.). It will go up against new episodes of Máme rádi Česko (Prima, from 29.8.) and the film (Nova). The favour of the majority audience will probably continue to belong to Všechnopárty (CT1, from 5.9.).

  • Saturday evening will be filled with the new detective series Mladá krev (Prima, from 30.8.). It may attract audiences who don't watch Zázraky přírody (CT1, from 6.9.). Nova is leaving a film on Saturday night.

  • For Sunday night, Nova pulls out a strong card with the series Metoda Markovič: Hojer (from 7.9.), Prima responds with the second series of Zrádci (from 14.9.). CT will present the Slovak-Czech crime miniseries Válka policajtů (from 7.9.).


Autumn programming schedules of ČT, TV Nova and TV Prima




From the end of August, Televize Seznam will also deploy its autumn programming scheme. It will be based mainly on Czech detective films followed by the crime series Labyrint (produced by Czech Television), domestic older series My všichni školou povinní, Sanitka, Chlapci a chlapi and comedy films ("Básníci", Na pytlácké stezce, Pod Jezevčí skálou, etc.). Among foreign titles, he continues with the series Profesionálové.

From 1 September, TV Barrandov will also start broadcasting in autumn. New programmes will appear on TV Barrandov in the autumn, mainly on Mondays (Vít Olmer: Den s osobností) and on Tuesday evenings (Vím, že nic nevím). Later on Saturday evening, an erotic show (Sexoňa) is new.
