Television station Nova is planning to rebrand its main news program Televizní noviny. It unveiled the new logo at its press conference on Tuesday ahead of its fall broadcasts. According to Nova's head of news, Kamil Houska, the rebranding of TN is planned for the end of August and beginning of September. "We want to stick to the idea that video is king; we don't want to spoil the image with graphics," said Houska, adding that the election logo will also be changed.
Nova is also preparing pre-election coverage of the Czech Parliament elections, which will take place on October 3 and 4. It will be covered in Televizní noviny, interviews on the program Napřímo on TN Live, and major pre-election debates on TV Nova. There will also be continuous broadcasting with the publication of results and coverage on the TN.cz website.
The discussion program Za pět minut dvanáct will move to Saturday, and there will be a new debate for young voters and interviews with candidates for key ministerial posts. Pre-election broadcasting will begin at the end of August. Its unifying element is V 25, which is composed of the Czech flag.
