The Slovak version of Prima Cool, the Prima Cool SK channel, will start broadcasting on 27 May. It will focus mainly on younger and male viewers. It will offer comedy series, entertainment programmes, motoring and travel magazines and science fiction. It will be available on most satellite, cable, IPTV and pay-TV operators in Slovakia.
"The Prima Cool SK TV station gives us the opportunity to bring viewers in Slovakia a lot more original entertainment, a diverse range of our own successful motoring, travel or documentary and reality programmes. In addition to the Prima Plus or Prima SK channel, which focuses on the Prima Group's premiere series and family entertainment, we are targeting the male audience and younger viewers more with our new content," said Alex Ruzek, Programme Director of the Prima Group.
The new channel for the Slovak market will follow the first of Prima Group's thematic channels in the Czech Republic. Since 2009, this has been the Prima Cool channel, which has increasingly focused on its own productions. Therefore, also on the Prima Cool SK channel, programmes of its own production will be complemented by selected acquisition titles that are licensed for the Slovak market. This will include, for example, the British motoring show Top Gear or the sci-fi series Stargate. In addition, the channel's programming offer could be supplemented by other acquisition content in the near future. The programme offer will also include a series of stories from the daily police practice Police in Action, known from the main Prima channel. It will also bring entertaining shows such as Prima Partička, Mikýř's Hysteoria of Czech History, the K.o.mici show, the Don't Look at Me show or the comedy series Bodyguards starring Predrag Bjelac and Adam Ernesto. There will also be premiere editions of the motoring show Autosalon or Fotr na tripu and others.

The Prima Group has been broadcasting in Slovakia since 2017, when it launched its first official TV channel Prima Plus (which will now be renamed Prima SK). From 2020, it will also add a news multiplatform CNN Prima News.
The Prima Plus station will be renamed Prima SK on the same day it launches Prima Cool SK - 27 May. "It will continue to bring the premiere of Prima Group's own productions to Slovak screens," said Michal Stárek, senior manager for distribution at Prima Group.
