Michal Vodák is taking over marketing management at the Prima Group. He is replacing Aleš Pýcha, who will now head Prima Solootions.
The Prima Group is planning changes to its marketing and communications team, effective September 1. Marketer Michal Vodák is taking over as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He replaces Aleš Pýcha, who after more than twelve years is moving to the helm of the newly formed company Prima Solootions, which will handle all PR communications, public affairs, event production for all companies in the GES Group holding, and the development of other strategic projects.
"I would like to thank Aleš for his tremendous work, creativity, and for setting up the communication of individual brands. He was there for all the important milestones of our transformation into a large media house, he was there at the launch of new channels and brands, the prima+ streaming platform, the CNN Prima News multiplatform, and a whole range of successful programs such as Zrádci, Vinaři, Slunečná, and ZOO. I look forward to working with him in his new role," says Prima Group CEO Marek Singer, adding: "The Prima Group continues its transformation from a television group to a multimedia house, where online is a key part of our growth. That is why we are bringing in Michal Vodák, whose extensive experience, particularly in digital marketing, will help us strengthen the effectiveness of our marketing activities and effectively reach our viewers in the online environment. His expertise will be essential for the further development of our new products, led by the prima+ platform."
Michal Vodák is a marketer with a strong focus on digital media and e-commerce. He joins the Prima group from his position as marketing director at Notino. In the past, he has worked as commercial director at Heureka Group, marketing director at Seznam.cz and the media house Mafra, and as brand manager at Mars. He graduated from Mendel University in Brno, where he earned his doctorate, and also spent part of his studies at Aston University in Birmingham.
"I believe that at Prima, I will be able to effectively utilize my experience from the dynamic online environment I gained at Heureka Group and Seznam.cz. My goal is to effectively leverage the power of the entire Prima media house while strengthening the marketing communication of programming priorities towards younger audiences on digital platforms, which are increasingly important for success," said Michal Vodák, the new marketing director of the Prima group.
Aleš Pýcha is taking over the management of the new communications company Prima Solootions, which builds on almost a decade of work by the Solootions agency he founded. The new company will provide all PR services and organize events for both the Prima Group and other companies belonging to the GES Group, while also being responsible for public affairs, including media legislation. Its responsibilities will also include marketing communications for the CNN Prima News multiplatform, the Prima Group's B2B activities, and the development of other strategic projects for the GES Group.
Aleš Pýcha has been at the helm of Prima's marketing since 2013. He started his career at Ernst & Young and also served as marketing director for the Metro publishing house and the Mafra media group.
