TV GRP VOLUME WAS SLIGHTLY HIGHER IN Q3 2022

The number of ad GRPs delivered in the TV market in the first three quarters of this year is slightly above the same period last year.

The cumulative volume of TV advertising GRPs delivered in the first three quarters of this year is 0.5 per cent higher than the same period last year. This is according to Nielsen Admosphere monitoring data. The result includes both traditional TV spots and sponsorships. The result would be even higher, but the monitoring only affects GRPs that were broadcast. However, due to high demand, not all GRPs could be placed on air.

Media Club and TV Nova remain the strongest players in the TV advertising market in terms of the number of GRPs delivered. The highest year-on-year increases were recorded by Atmedia and the Nova Group, with increases in the order of one per cent. Stations represented by Media Club (Prima group, Barrandov, Óčko and other thematic stations) remained basically at the same level in the first three quarters of 2022 as in the same period last year. The volume of GRPs on Czech Television stations is one per cent lower than in the first three quarters of 2021, mainly due to a slightly lower number of GRPs delivered to the station CT Sport. However, this may change in the last quarter in view of the broadcast of the football World Cup, where advertiser interest is expected.
