The Media Academy, organised by ADMEZ and the Karel Friml Institute for Management Research, continued in June with a follow-up advanced module.

The Media Academy, jointly organised by the Association for Direct Marketing, E-commerce and Mail Order (ADMEZ) and the Institute for Management Research (IMV), continued in June with the advanced module of its training programme designed for professionals in the media and marketing sectors.

This two-day follow-up module was designed for graduates of the academy’s basic module. It focused on developing business, marketing and media skills and offered a combination of strategic and practical topics.

Participants explored topics such as advanced media metrics, online products, digital audio, cross-media planning and the role of media in the communications mix. The programme also included sessions focused on sales, communication and presentation skills.

Speakers included Zuzana Šindelářová from Publicis Groupe Czech Republic, Václav Podzimek from Potten & Pannen – Staněk, Robert Chmelař from Partners Bank, and other experts from 3P Consulting and Radiohouse.

“The world of media and marketing is changing faster today than ever before. The way people consume media, the way clients and agencies plan their campaigns, and the way new business opportunities arise are all transforming,” said Karel Friml, Chairman of the Institute for Management Research. According to him, the academy helps participants to better navigate the changes in the media market and new trends.

The Media Academy project is funded by the European Social Fund through the Employment Plus Operational Programme of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic. Its aim is to develop the professional and soft skills of professionals working in the media, marketing and business sectors.

In addition to specialist lectures, networking and the sharing of experiences between participants from various market segments were also an important part of the programme.
