From 1 January 2026, the Prima Show TV channel will expand its programming with a new morning animation block for children called Prima Show Kids. Every day between 6.00 and 12.00 it will offer families with children animated series and fairy tales familiar from cinemas and TV screens.
Viewers will see, for example, King Julien from the Madagascar film series, the Croods family, Kung Fu Panda Po or Škyťák and his dragon friend Bezzubka from the Jak vycvičit draka series. The individual animated shows have a 30-minute running time and will be broadcast in pairs of episodes in succession.
Prima Show, which has long targeted younger audiences, especially women, is making this move in response to the composition of its viewer base. "We know that our female viewers are often mothers, so we decided to provide entertainment for their children as well. Afternoon broadcasts remain in the vein of sitcoms and reality shows," said Alex Ruzek, Prima Group's programme director.
The new morning block is intended to expand the channel's genre offer and strengthen its attractiveness in the morning hours, without disrupting the existing programming scheme focused on entertainment formats.
