New titles from the world of football and a continuation of the work of investigator Jiří Markovič will be available on the Oneplay video platform this fall.
The Oneplay platform will premiere two new documentary series this fall. The first is Případy Jiřího Markoviče, a four-part miniseries that charts the life and career of police investigator Jiří Markovič. The docuseries was created by the makers of the feature film Metoda Markovič – screenwriter Jaroslav Hruška, producer Lukáš Mráček, and Oneplay creative producer Tomáš Hruška.
Oneplay users will also see a documentary probe into the workings of a football club called Slovan Liberec: Zpátky na vrchol. It is a documentary series about a professional football club that wants to return to the top. It is directed by Michal Samir. The series is produced by Barletta, the company behind Oneplay originals such as Iveta and Málo mě znáš, led by producers Maja Hamplová and Matěj Chlupáček.
A new addition to the genre of live-action productions will be the six-part comedy Oneplay Original set in the world of soccer, Štěstíčku naproti. Directed by Marek Najbrt, it offers a comedic look at the world of soccer in the "noughties." The cast includes Václav Neužil, Marek Daniel, Denisa Barešová, Pavel Řezníček, Jiří Vyorálek, Václav Kopta, Táňa Pauhofová, Petra Bučková, Richard Stanke, Andrej Polák, Lukáš Latinák, Tereza Dočkalová, and Jan Kolařík.
For broadcast in 2026, Oneplay plans to release a sequel to the series Metoda Markovič: Hojer, this time focusing on the Spartakiad killer Jiří Straka under the title Metoda Markovič: Straka.
"Oneplay is the most important thing for the Nova group, and we are delighted to see it growing under our watch," said Nova CEO Daniel Grunt at a press conference on Tuesday. However, he did not specify the number of subscribers. According to him, since Oneplay's launch on March 10, 2025, users have watched more than three-quarters of a billion videos, with the average user watching up to 30 hours on Oneplay in a single week.
