In Germany, viewers already spend more time streaming than watching television. Czechia expects the same trend.
By 2030, revenues from the streaming platforms of the largest Czech commercial television stations could equal or even exceed revenues from traditional television advertising and sponsorship. This is the estimate of the heads of the two largest commercial television groups in Czechia, who were approached by Médiář in this regard –Nova CEO Daniel Grunt and Prima CEO and Chairman of the Board Marek Singer. Both groups operate streaming services, but they have different business models. While Nova's Oneplay is based purely on subscriptions and does not yet offer tariffs with advertising, Prima offers three subscription levels, two of which include advertising.
