This was the 18th edition of the DIGIMEDIA 2023 conference, which took place this Wednesday in the Congress Hall of the Czech Television in Prague, Kavčí Hory. BLOCK I - TELEVISION
The first block of the DIGIMEDIA 2023 conference was devoted to television broadcasting, especially terrestrial signal distribution, the future of the 600 MHz frequency band, financing of public television and the development of pay-TV channels on the Czech market.
BLOCK II - STREAMING SERVICES
The second block of the DIGIMEDIA 2023 conference brought together representatives of the largest domestic streaming services (Voyo, prima+, iVysílání). The issue of pirated copies of content and their sharing via freely accessible online repositories, the introduction of advertisements into SVOD, legal obligations for streaming service operators and cooperation between commercial players and Czech Television's iBroadcast were addressed.
BLOCK III - RADIOS
The third block of the DIGIMEDIA 2023 conference traditionally focused on the radio market and in particular on this year's auction of frequencies for DAB+ networks intended for commercial radios. Jiří Hrabák, President of the Association of Private Broadcasters, presented the position of private stations, while the public Czech Radio, through Pavel Balíček, Head of Signal Distribution, disclosed the plan for the thickening of the CRo DAB+ network this year.
