CNN Prima News will kick off its pre-election coverage with the first major debate: ‘100 days until the elections’.

News station CNN Prima News is launching ‘the most extensive pre-election coverage in its history’ ahead of the autumn parliamentary elections. The first format will be a debate entitled ‘100 days until the elections’, which will take place on Thursday, 19 June, at 9 p.m.

The debate will be moderated by Terezie Tománková and Petr Suchoň, who will welcome representatives of seven political parties that have exceeded the five per cent threshold required to enter the Chamber of Deputies in at least one of this year's polls.

The following guests have accepted the invitation: Karel Havlíček (ANO), Martin Kupka (ODS) – SPOLU coalition, Tomio Okamura (SPD), Jan Farský (STAN), Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates), Kateřina Konečná (KSČM) – Stačilo! and Petr Macinka (Motoristé sobě).

The topics of the debate will be security, the economic situation of Czech households, but also the harshness of the election campaign and political culture.

The debate will kick off at 8:15 p.m. with a special broadcast featuring political scientists and commentators who will give viewers an overview of current events on the political scene. After the debate, at 11 p.m., there will be a special edition of the programme 360°, where experts will evaluate the politicians' performances.

Viewers will also be able to vote online. A poll will be open on the CNNPrima.cz website during the evening, where viewers can vote for the most convincing speaker.

CNN Prima News plans to publish the full schedule of its autumn pre-election broadcasts in the coming weeks.
