The competition comprises six main sections: One-Channel Drum, Omni-Channel Drum, Craft Drum, Creative Media Excellence Drum, Creative Business Excellence Drum and All Juries. Another new feature this year is the UNFPA Inclusion Excellence Award, which recognises creative work that promotes gender equality and social inclusion. Entries may be works that were first published, broadcast or presented to the public between 23 August 2025 and 26 August 2026. The shortlist will be decided by the jury on 29 September. The festival will announce the bronze and silver prizes on 13 October during the programme, with the main prizes to be announced that same evening at the Golden Drum Awards Show.
Top creative talent is heading to Portorož
The festival will take place on 12 and 13 October at the Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož. Announced speakers include Xavier Blais from Rethink, Islam ElDessouky from The Coca-Cola Company, Emma Follett from Design Bridge and Partners, David Guerrero from BBDO Guerrero and Joanna Lawrence from Havas Media Network. The festival will also welcome Benjamin Simon and Dirk Schuster, creative directors and co-founders of the design studio FOREAL.
