THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION DISTRUSTS PAID INFLUENCER PROMOTION

Paid promotion by influencers is trusted by 39% of those who have an opinion on such posts. But more than three-fifths do not trust such promotion, according to research by ResSolution Group.

The majority of the population (61%) do not trust paid promotion by influencers, ResSolution Group research shows. Specifically, 54% tend to distrust such promotion, while 7% definitely distrust it. 34% say they tend to trust paid influencer promotion and 5% definitely trust it.

The research also showed that the majority (58%) sometimes mind paid influencer posts and sometimes don't mind. then change their minds on a case-by-case basis. A fifth (21%) definitely don't mind, 11% mostly or always mind.

Half of the population (48%) have made at least one purchase based on an influencer recommendation. A fifth have done so more than once.

Three quarters of followers (77%) have seen an influencer ask them to support a charity project.

Young people are still much morelikely to follow influencers than the older generation 8 out of 10 online Czechs aged 15-34 follow an influencer or celebrity on social media. In the middle age group (35-54) only 4 out of 10 do so, and in the oldest category (55 ) only 1 out of 10.
