Česká televize stations recorded the highest share of the television market in the first quarter of this year. On average, this stood at 34.30% among viewers aged 15 and over, which was almost five percentage points higher than in the same period last year. This is shown by official ATO measurement data.
Given that the period covers the months from January to the end of March 2026, the broadcast of the Olympic Games on Czech Television channels in February this year accounted for the largest share of this result. Thanks to the Olympic broadcasts, Czech Television’s February share increased by as much as ten percentage points year-on-year. Česká televize stations also had a strong start to the new year, recording a year-on-year increase of three percentage points in January thanks to the new programming introduced (figures for CS 15, all-day). In March, the share of domestic TV groups approached the average figures achieved in the same month last year.
