ELECTION TV BROADCAST WILL START ON SATURDAY MORNING AND WILL LAST UNTIL MIDNIGHT

Domestic television news stations will be following the election day from the morning. CNN Prima News will begin its election coverage at 8:00 am, CT24 at 9:00 am and TV Nova at 1:45 pm.

All-day coverage of the Chamber of Deputies elections on 3 and 4 October will be carried by Czech Television on its news channel ČT24 and by TV Prima on its news channel CNN Prima News. TV Nova will offer an afternoon block from 13:45 in its linear broadcast, while the online channel TN Live will follow the election situation throughout the day.

CNN Prima News


Saturday's election coverage will begin at 8:00 a.m. on CNN Prima News and run throughout the day until midnight. It will offer analysis, social media reactions and a look at the cities and towns where the final outcome will be decided. CNN Prima News will again this year feature exclusive predictions of the results from the research instituteStem/Mark and Stem and reactions from the election staffs of each party and movement. It plans to publish the election results before all the votes have been completely counted thanks to the prediction of the results.

Terezie Tománková and Petr Suchoň will host the broadcast.

Saturday's special Czech Republic Votes, which will run from 8:00 to 11:00, will feature Karel Křivan (PR expert), Tomáš Buzek (marketer), Petr Barton (chief economist of Datarun), Lukáš Kovanda (economist), Andor Šándor (security expert) and Jiří Šedivý (former chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces).

Jaroslav Plesl (editor-in-chief of MF Dnes), Viliam Buchert (commentator of Reflex), Miroslav Korecký (commentator), Dalibor Balšínek, (editor-in-chief of Týdeník Echo), Jan Kubáček (political analyst), Jakub Horák (political marketer), Petr Kolář (commentator of MF Dnes), Petr Fischer (commentator of Týdeník Euro) will join the Election Centre, which will be broadcast from 11:00 to midnight. Former Presidents Miloš Zeman and Václav Klaus, as well as Štěpán Křeček (economic advisor to the Prime Minister), Ilona Švihlíková (economist), Thomas Kulidakis (commentator for CNN Prima News) and Martin Schmarcz (commentator) are to take part in the evening broadcast from 20:00.

ČT24


From 9:00 on Saturday morning, the election broadcast on ČT24 will start and will last until 22:00, when it will be followed by the Události, komentáře volební speciál and  after that the election broadcast will continue until midnight. Michal Kubal, Marcela Augustová and Daniel Stach will be the presenters of the election studio.

The CT Election Studio will follow the vote counting process and the reporters will bring the reactions of political leaders from the eight election headquarters of the parties and movements with the best chances of entering the Chamber of Deputies. Experts will comment on the interim results.

The events of the election day will be summarised by the programmes Události and Události, komentáře. A special discussion programme broadcast from 22:00 will offer a look at the post-election political scene with representatives of the parties and movements that have won representation in the new Chamber of Deputies. The broadcast will continue throughout the night and on Sunday will chart the first post-election negotiations of political representatives.

A new feature of this year's election broadcast is the transfer of part of the programme to the Prague Planetarium. From there, Daniel Stach will moderate, accompanied by Vladimír Piskala, who will offer viewers interactive data, statistics and interesting facts. "The Prague Planetarium provides us with new possibilities, we will broadcast not only from the dome with a giant rounded projection, but also from the atrium with projection areas all around," said Daniel Stach.

Nova and TN Live


Nova Television is preparing a special election programme for Saturday, 4 October, which will start at13:45 and run until 19:30, i.e. until the start of the Television News. Bára Divišová and Rey Koranteng will be the presenters of the afternoon and evening broadcasts.

Political analyst Ladislav Mrklas will be in the studio of the main station throughout the afternoon. In the first part of the broadcast he will be joined by Petros Michopulos and economist Lukáš Kovanda, while the second part will be completed by commentator Dalibor Balšínek and political analyst Lukáš Valeš.

After Television News, the election broadcast will move to TN Live, where it will continue, depending on the results, until the morning hours. Guests will include political scientist Milan Školník from the Czech University of Life Sciences, political marketing expert Anna Shavit (FSV UK), marketer Marek Prchal (Institut Solvo), commentator Vratislav Dostál (Aktuálně.cz) and influencer Lukáš Fritscher. The debates will also feature political scientists Michael Drašar (FSV UK) and Jiří Pehe (New York University in Prague).

Sunday's broadcast


The election results will also be the focus of Sunday's broadcast, starting early in the morning on ČT24, CNN Prima News and TN Live. The post-election situation will also be discussed on Terezie Tománková' s discussion programmes Partie Terezie Tománková (from 11:00 on TV Prima and CNN Prima News), Otázky Václava Moravce (from 12:00 on ČT1 and ČT24) and the programme Za pět minut dvanáct (on TV Nova from 11:55). On Sunday, the news channels are also planning a full day of broadcasts. In the evening, CNN Prima News will offer another 360° special and on Prima and CNN Prima an election special of Souvislosti Markéty Fialové.
