The winners of the 32nd annual local competition for creativity in commercial communication, the ADC Czech Creative Awards, have been announced. The awards were presented at a gala evening on Wednesday, 7 May, at Archa+. The title of Agency of the Evening, which received the highest number of points in the evaluation, went to McCann Prague. The Client of the Year award went to the Czech Insurance Association (ČAP), which has been working with McCann Prague for many years to create powerful creative campaigns raising awareness of road safety. The special industry award Zlatý ohníček for creative contribution to commercial communication went to Leonard Savage, Chief Creative Officer at McCann Prague.
Grand Prix was not awarded this year, but for the first time in the history of the competition, a special prize was awarded by the Art Jury – Art Prix. It went to the creative agency MadLove for its work Identity for Prague 10. This work also won the ADC Šťouch award from club members last year and was nominated for the competition itself.
The most successful work of the year was the campaign "Zkratky: Urine test" by McCann Prague for the Czech Insurance Association, which won two gold Louskáčky awards in the Campaign: Tactical and Digital Craft categories, two silver and one bronze.
Among the most acclaimed campaigns of this year's edition was also the project ‘Nezapomeňte (Don't forget), created by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in collaboration with Ad Wood, Cognito, Studio Najbrt and Get Boost Media. It won one gold Louskáček award in the Advertisements for Good category, two silver Louskáček awards and one bronze Louskáček award.
Another successful campaign is ‘World of Warcraft: Escape from Dalaran,’ created by the All Animal agency for Blizzard Entertainment. All eight entries across categories made it to the shortlist, four of which turned into bronze and two silver awards.
Another award-winning campaign is ‘Don't grill yourself, you're not a Whopper, which was created for Burger King by the Czech agency Zaraguza. It won gold in the Campaign: Tactical category, two silver awards and one bronze.
"This year's competition delighted us not only with the number of entries, but also with the level and diversity of creativity and craftsmanship. These are not my words, but the feedback from our foreign colleagues on the jury. As a club that strives to promote creativity to entities other than traditional agencies, we are very pleased to see new smaller groups and even individuals among the applicants. We hope that we can inject a little fresh hype into the veins of these creators so that next year we can once again rejoice in where and how creativity is bearing fruit," summarises club chairman Miky Karas.
The complete results of the 32nd ADC Czech Creative Awards are published in the competition gallery on the website www.adcawards.cz. Out of a total of 270 entries, 118 works made it onto the shortlist, with 78 of them receiving awards. A total of 12 gold Louskáčeks, 29 silver and 37 bronze were awarded.
