The ‘Fixables’ project by LePub Amsterdam and Milan for Philips, which was developed in collaboration with Publicis Groupe, OMD Czech and Prusa Research, won silver and bronze in Cannes.

The Fixables campaign, whose pilot project was launched in the Czech Republic, was successful twice in the Design category. It won bronze for design aimed at changing behaviour and silver for design focused on sustainability.

The creativity festival awarded the lion trophies to the Netherlands and Italy, as the concept was developed by Le Pub Amsterdam and Le Pub Milan. However, people from Prague's Publicis Groupe also contributed, including its head of communications Jaroslav Malina and account director Zoran Boškovič.

The Fixables initiative also started in the Czech Republic with the media agency OMD Czech and the domestic production company Stillking Films, which is one of the partners alongside Bandit Amsterdam, Bax Studio Milan and Crossfade Milan.

The entire Philips initiative is based on cooperation with 3D printer manufacturer Prusa Research. Together, they want to use Fixables to promote sustainability and circularity by giving people access to the designs of components and accessories for Philips Personal Health products, which they can then print on their 3D printers instead of buying them.

The project was inspired by the fact that 77 percent of Europeans would prefer to repair products, but most of them end up buying new ones. Interest was also shown after Philips unveiled the design for a 3D model of a beard trimmer for the OneBlade razor, which was downloaded by 3,200 users in its first week.

The campaign by Le Pub and Philips has thus transformed both shortlists it made it onto on Sunday. Today, it managed to add another in the Creative Business Transformation category. The results will be announced on Thursday.
