spolupráce s

12. 9. 2024

As consumers grow more aware of the environmental and social consequences of their purchases, businesses are increasingly compelled to respond to these evolving values. Companies recognise that aligning with their audience’s concerns is not just a trend but a crucial strategy for long-term success.

To meet the growing demand for sustainable options, IP Österreich, the multichannel media sales subsidiary of RTL Germany, has partnered with Green Shopping Days, an annual event dedicated to promoting sustainable products and services. This event provides a unique platform for companies to showcase their sustainable products through an engaging, live shopping experience. For the sales house, this goes in a revenue diversification initiative to position itself as a reference even outside of the classical spot advertising.

Green Shopping Live

This event offers a live shopping experience where consumers can interact with brands that prioritise sustainability. By bringing together influencers, brand ambassadors, and experts, Green Shopping Days aims to raise awareness of climate-friendly products and encourage responsible consumer choices.

The core of the experience is a 30 to 60-minute live broadcast on www.greenshoppingdays.de, where influencers and brand ambassadors guide viewers through the live program. While the website remains active after the event, sustainable products will only be showcased during the campaign days*. The live shopping experience will also be promoted through a dedicated TV campaign, amplifying its reach and engagement. After the live event, the program will be available on demand for 30 days. Influencers and experts will be carefully selected based on their reach and alignment with the project’s values, ensuring maximum impact, efficiency, and authenticity for an engaging and meaningful experience.

Key Objectives

  • Promoting sustainable choices: Encouraging consumers to choose products that are both environmentally and socially responsible.
  • Boosting audience engagement: Creating a stronger connection between consumers and brands through an interactive, live shopping experience.
  • Expanding market reach: Targeting a broad audience, from committed sustainability advocates to those new to the concept.
  • Strengthening brand image: Offering companies a chance to enhance their reputation by aligning with sustainability efforts and reaching a wider audience.

Green Shopping Days includes a wide range of companies, from well-known brands with strong sustainability credentials to innovative start-ups offering fresh approaches to environment friendly products, covering industries such as electronics, fashion, food, sports and beauty, health and home. By featuring a diverse range of industries, Green Shopping Days provides consumers with a comprehensive view of climate friendly solutions, encouraging sustainable choices across various aspects of life.

Criteria for Sustainable Products

To ensure that the products featured in Green Shopping Days are genuinely sustainable, a set of criteria has been established and coordinated by the partners. By sticking to these criteria, only products that truly contribute to sustainability are featured, maintaining the event’s credibility and appeal.

  1. Environment friendly products: Products must be produced using environmentally friendly processes, such as reducing waste, lowering carbon emissions, and using renewable resources.
  2. Social responsibility: Companies demonstrating ethical practices, including fair working conditions and responsible sourcing.
  3. Transparency: Brands should have a transparent supply chain and openly communicate their sustainability efforts, providing clear information about their products’ origins and impact.

IP Österreich’s collaboration with Green Shopping Days represents a strategic initiative aimed at promoting sustainable consumption through an innovative live shopping experience. By curating a selection of products and involving contributors from diverse industries, the partnership effectively bridges the gap between audiences and brands. Amplifying the impact of sustainable practices, IP Österreich and Green Shopping Days are not only promoting ethical consumption but also supporting the broader global movement toward sustainability.
