OČKO INCREASES REACH ON NETWORKS, REACHES THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION

The Óčko group continues to build its reach through social networks, reaching the majority of the population that is presented on the networks.

The Óčko TV group's social networks generated 650 million impressions organically in the whole of 2023, according to statistics from the music operator. The goal for this year is to reach one billion impressions generated on all Óčko social profiles, representatives of the broadcaster told MediaGuru.cz. The monthly number of impressions generated by Óčko on all its social networks is currently 75 million.

Óčko's Facebook profile registered 627,143 fans last year and, according to Óčko's data, generated the most interactions compared to media competitors that provide advertising space on social networks. Óčko Star then added more fans and interactions. In addition to these two Facebook profiles, Óčko interacts on three Instagram accounts (Óčko, Óčko Star, Ó Black) and two Tiktok accounts (Óčko, Ó Black). It is also active on YouTube and YT Shorts, where it is also preparing new formats connected with influencers.

Óčko's total reach on Facebook alone was 4.3 million users this January, which is the majority of the population using Facebook and social networks in the Czech Republic (total social network users in the Czech Republic are 5.3 million, "Both of our Facebook profiles organically reach almost all of the active population in the Czech Republic that spends time on Facebook on a daily basis; moreover, according to the interaction metrics, FB Óčko receives the most interactions compared to its competitors for 2023 and even now for January and February 2024. The second place in the average ranks the Facebook profile Óčko Star, which, although it has a smaller number of fans compared to its competitors, ranks second in terms of performance," says Eliška Herciková, online marketing consultant at Óčko TV. Interaction means the total number of times users have interacted with a given page on a social network, in the case of a Facebook profile it is, for example, a like. In the case of Instagram, Óčko has set a goal for this year to increase its positioning ahead of the competition, adds Herciková.

"Our social networks are being talked about, our content is visible and we have an impact not only on Gen Z. We rely on trending content that focuses on music, pop culture, tabloids and entertainment in a way that is accessible, entertaining and beneficial to all followers and non-followers. In addition, we have a special "I See Myself on Óčko" format that gets viewers into TV. Soon we will also introduce another unique format that will combine Instagram with the dynamics of music television," says Michal Janíček, head of social media at Óčko.

"Our record-breaking social media reach has already been noticed by promoters and organisers of events and festivals we work with. For example, this was fully demonstrated during last year's festival season, when we managed to reach millions of users through online campaigns. For example, we recorded over 2.1 million organic impressions for the Colours of Ostrava festival. But the numbers are still growing. Just for comparison, we have already had over 8 million organic impressions for the Czech Nightingale poll in November," says Michal Křížek, Head of Marketing at TV Óčko.
