DUBBING STILL LEADS THE WAY. ONLY 29 PER CENT OF CZECHS REGULARLY WATCH FILMS IN THEIR ORIGINAL LANGUAGE

16. 9. 2026 | 3 min read Dubbing remains significantly more popular amongst Czech viewers than watching foreign films and series in their original language. Although streaming services offer a choice between dubbing, the original version and subtitles, 71 per cent of Czech viewers prefer dubbing. Twenty-nine per cent of those surveyed regularly watch programmes in their original language. This is according to a survey by the media company AXOCOM.
